Standard Ukulele Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Ukulele learning has become really popular in the last 5 to 10 years. It is an excellent course for young players who would like to be introduced to fretted instruments and pick up the basics of strumming, chords, how to tune, finger, strum, timing & song pattern & progression – all useful skills for progressing from the uke onto other string instruments.

The ukuleles soft nylon strings, small & light body & vast array of songs to play make this an accessible instrument for all ages and abilities. Learning Ukulele is a fun way to discover music. Ukuleles comes in a range of sizes from Soprano to Baritone. It is now available via Exams to certify your level.

Graded Ukulele Exams | Taking Music Grades

Test Your Ukulele skills against an internationally recognised Exam Board! Graded exams for Ukulele are held 3 times per year. Each exam consists of performing 3 pieces, technical exercises & musicianship questions.

The modern syllabus from RSL awards has some great songs from a variety of modern artists (Jason Marz, Coldplay, Adele, and more) to choose from to make your exam experience exciting!

Exams are an optional part of your learning experience at Blanch Music, if you want any more information please ask your teacher or our admin team.

Ukulele has become on of the fastest growing instruments for new students to start learning. In many schools around the country it has replaced the recorder (thankfully!) as the instrument of choice for Second Level Education.

Learning the Ukulele is a fun experience with lots of challenges too! You can choose from a range of modern compositions to learn from and to expand your own repertoire.

All of our Vocals tutors are professional music teachers who have studied music at 3rd Level or privately with Exam Boards.

From beginners to advanced players our tutors can teach you across a wide range of Styles & Genres including; Acoustic, Electric, Classical & Bass. Styles/Genres include; Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Finger Styles and much more.

Hybrid or Online Lessons

All of our courses can be taken in Person, Online or for your convenience Hybrid classes. Zoom (Or Skype) Guitar lessons have never been easier to take, login to our student portal and launch your Guitar class with 1 click.

You can opt for online lessons at any point throughout your course by contacting the office. A Webcam is essential and it’s recommended for the best experience to have a large screen and wired connection.

What Am I Meant to be Practicing this week?

Ever get home from your lessons and you are not sure what to practice? Or your children are doing lessons and you didn’t get a chance to see the teacher?

We send an email with your homework each week, it updates you on progress each week. All these notes are also kept in your student portal, login at anytime to access your personal notes. Check upcoming calendar, make payments safely & securely.

  • We offer Ukulele lessons from 6 years +.

  • Yes, having a Ukulele will allow you to practice at home in between classes. It is a very affordable instrument, reasonable start Ukuleles start from €35+

  • Standard Lessons for Ukulele are 30 minutes each week.

  • Ukulele Lessons are available Monday to Saturday. On weekdays lessons start from 1pm - 9pm. Weekends lessons are from 10am - 6pm.

  • There are lots of similarities to Guitar. Ukulele has fret (the metal lines) like a Guitar and you can use Chord Shapes and Strumming Patterns.

    Ukulele tuning is different and it only has 4 strings but it is often used as a pre-guitar instrument.

  • No instrument is easy to learn but due to the size and portability of the instrument it can be more acessable than some instruments like Drums.
