Beginners to Advanced Guitar Lessons

Learning Guitar is a great experience. Even if you are just beginning on your musical journey our teachers can help you improve. Students attend the course of a number of lessons, each week your tutor will review your previous class, adjust if needed and progress along the next step.

Take Guitar lessons for fun by learning songs from the artists and musicians you love or take Musical Exam with international recognised boards like: RSL (Rockschool), LCM (Previously RGT), ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall and More. Learn practical playing techniques and Music Theory.

Group Lessons are available for students from 6 – 16. All Adult classes are 1:1.

What Am I Meant to be Practicing this week?

Ever get home from your lessons and you are not sure what to practice? Or your children are doing lessons and you didn’t get a chance to see the teacher?

We send an email with your homework each week, it updates you on progress each week. All these notes are also kept in your student portal, login at anytime to access your personal notes. Check upcoming calendar, make payments safely & securely.

  • Guitar Lessons start from 6 Years of Age. You can buy a guitars in different sizes depending on your age.

  • A standard lesson is 30 Minutes per class, a longer classes is available and is recommended for students taking Exams.

  • Private Guitar lessons cost €26.95 per class. Lessons are booked by the term and are paid for in 2 payments. A deposit of €50 to hold your place and the balance after 2 lessons.

  • We have classes 6 Days a week. Monday to Saturdays.

  • Weekdays we have lessons from 1pm - 9pm and Weekends, 10am - 6pm

  • Yes, Ideally you will have an instrument before your class. Having an instrument at home to practice with will help you grow and progress.

Graded Guitar Exams | Taking Music Grades

Graded Guitar exams allow you to test your abilities against an internationally recognised benchmark.

Exams are an optional part of your learning experience at Blanch Music. These exams are held 3 times per year. During an exam you perform 3 Pieces, undertake Aural / Sight Reading or Improvisation and Music Theory questions.

We offer exams from: The Royal Irish Academy of Music, Associated Board of Music, RSL (Rockschool Exams), Trinity and more.

Acoustic Guitar Lessons

Acoustic Guitar is one of our most popular Guitar lessons. Acoustic Guitar classes consist of learning about the instrument, reading music, chords, scales & arpeggios.

You will also learn about rhythm, timing, strumming and more.

What’s the difference between Acoustic & Classical?

The main difference between the two instruments in that the strings on a Classical are Nylon and the acoustic are steel.

Another difference is that Classical guitars are mainly used for playing classical music and not modern music but a lot of beginners will use Nylon strings guitars even to learn modern music.

From beginners to advanced players our tutors can teach you across a wide range of Styles & Genres including; Acoustic, Electric, Classical & Bass. Styles/Genres include; Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Finger Styles and much more.

Hybrid or Online Lessons

Classical Guitar Lessons

When taking Classical Guitar lessons the focus of the classes will be on classical music and songs from composers like; Bach, Nutall & Whitworth, Handle and more.

Classical Guitars are also known as Spanish Guitars which will use the same tuning as standard but the technique is different a heavily reliant on rhythmic paterns.

Classical Guitar lessons will also work with Scales & Arpeggios.


Electric Guitar Lessons

Along with it’s cousins, Acoustic & Classical Guitar the electric is tuned the same. The electric utilise an amplifier to generate the sounds where the acoustic and classical use the body to make the sound.

Also technique for playing the Electric Guitar is different. Some elements of Electric Guitar like Palm muting or sweeping won’t transfer across to Acoustic / Classical Guitar.

All of our courses can be taken in Person, Online or for your convenience Hybrid classes. Zoom (Or Skype) Guitar lessons have never been easier to take, login to our student portal and launch your Guitar class with 1 click.

You can opt for online lessons at any point throughout your course by contacting the office. A Webcam is essential and it’s recommended for the best experience to have a large screen and wired connection.
